General FAQs
Q. What's your wheelhouse in writing and performing?
A. Personally I'm most comfortable writing slice-of-life in a variety of settings and dynamics. A friend comforting you through a breakup, or gay furries on a mission in space inside a sapient spaceship, that sort of thing. I have a background in social services and healthcare, and enjoy exploring complex relationships. If you're looking for a pointed, comprehensive comfort script I ask that you consider me. No one can ever fully understand another, however I am intimately familiar with the myriad pains and griefs that come with living as a caring, empathetic being. If nothing else perhaps I can help you to feel seen and heard, at least a little bit. Please peruse some of my previous works and see for yourself.
Q. Is there any kind of content that you won't write or perform?
A. Any sort of hateful content, unless it is meant to be pilloried later in the script as a teachable moment. I'm willing to explore all manner of ideas with you; if you're unsure, please ask!

Q. Can you make more content like XYZ?
A. I'll consider it! If you've something specific in mind and are excited to see it sooner rather than later then there may be an option down the road for it to be commission work! (I could use the money for a better microphone and, like, living expenses. :-p)
Q. Do you use AI in your process?
A. I do not, save for an offline Whisper instance to ensure quality and accessible subtitles for my video content. I am staunchly against generative AI, and any application of AI being used to put people out of work with no recourse. As most of my scripts are hand written I don't have them available in plain text to insert into my videos. I'm disabled, and working at a keyboard wears me down faster than doing auditions. Plus I don't really make much money (thanks Amazon). Once I'm able to sustain myself I would be honoured to hire a transcriptionist and will take applications at that time. That is to say, I only use AI for accessibility purposes, and ask that you appreciate that nuance should we work together. Also, just look at my art, I'm out here rocking Paint.NET and Kdenlive.
Q. What are some of the inspirations for your work?
A. A lot of my writing is inspired by my collaborator lilellia, as well as Absent Writer Doll. I also grew up with anime and RPGs from the 80's and 90's, so some of my dramatic sensibilities come from there. Particularly Labyrinth of Eververdant: The Alchemist of Osuria is a love letter to the Labyrinths of Refrain and Galleria, and Atelier series. Ultimately, I think I'm trying to create the kind of content I would have wanted and needed when I was younger. I want to explore the whimsy I lost long ago, and I invite you all to join me.
Commission FAQs
Q. I've seen some writers offer script writing and narration per minute or per word with different prices. Why have you chosen yours?
A. The loose consensus among voice actors is that the average word per minute rate is 100, give or take 10. For example if a script is 2000 words in length, a fair assumption is that it would be around 20 minutes in length. I can guarantee that my rates will never fall below that mark unless the project specifically calls for that.
Q. Okay, but what if the audio goes way over? You won't charge me extra for that, will you?
A. No, I won't charge you should your audio go long. This includes if the script goes a bit over, as well. Knowing how I work, both likely will by at least a little bit. Sometimes in order to hit all of the beats and land the plane you need a bit more runway, and I'd rather over- than under-deliver. I don't mind spending a little more time and effort to meet the needs of the customer. You will also have the opportunity to review the script and request revisions before I perform it.
Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. I require payment up front of at least 30% of the total commission cost. Should you pay for the entire commission all at once at this stage, I will give you a 5% discount. Returning customers will receive an additional 5% off.
Q. How do you accept payment?
A. At this time I accept payment through Paypal, Kofi, and Throne.
